In keeping with evolving needs and changing lifestyles, Genstar has incorporated elements of the New Urbanism in the design of its Westmount community. Westmount features many design elements that highlight the area's natural beauty. At the centre of the neighbourhood is a 9-acre woodlot of tall maples gracing nature trails where residents can enjoy tranquil walks. Similar to other Genstar communities, wide varieties of housing types ranging from executive townhouses to custom estate houses are available. Genstar originated the idea of landscaped traffic circles in the Westmount neighbourhood, and the innovative design received an Award in Oakville's Urban Design competition.
