Since 1952, Genstar has created some of Canada's most sought-after communities. Following are just a handful of the highlights.

WILLOW PARK - CALGARY 1950'S

One of Genstar's first projects is the Calgary community of Willow Park, the city's first golf course community.

LAKE BONAVISTA - CALGARY 1960'S

Established in 1968, this bold venture made imaginative leaps in planning - including the development of a freshwater lake. Lake Bonavista's success inspired four more Genstar lake communities occupying over four square miles of land.

LAKE BEAUMARIS - EDMONTON 1970'S

Lake Beaumaris was one of Edmonton's first stormwater lakes and the first to incorporate an innovative "hard edge" - a concreted quayside and boardwalk that distinguish the lake as a true urban environment.

CITADEL HEIGHTS - VANCOUVER 1980'S

Now home to 7,000 residents, Citadel Heights was at one time logged, then farmed, then mined as a gravel quarry. When Genstar acquired the land, it became one of many projects in the Vancouver area that transformed neglected industrial lands into vibrant communities that stand today as a model of sustainable development.

GLEN ABBEY - OAKVILLE 1980'S

Glen Abbey, with its emphasis on environmental sensitivity, was well ahead of its time. This community of over 15,000 residents features over 200 acres of permanent open space. Glen Abbey is the site of the prestegious Canadian Open Golf Championship.

LINDEN WOODS - WINNIPEG 1990'S

Now the benchmark for residential developments in Winnipeg, Linden Woods was once bound by truck routes, warehouses, and cement plants. Careful planning, sensitive use of stormwater management, and architectural controls created a community of 8,000 people that is still one of Winnipeg's most desirable.

PANORAMA HILLS - CALGARY 2000'S

Genstar's most recent innovation is the establishment of the e-Community. This future-friendly advanced wiring standard provide residents with limitless connections and unparalleled flexibility. No wonder Panorama Hills is Calgary's best-selling community.
