RECRUITMENT AND JOB POSTING SCAM NOTICE
Genstar Development Company (Genstar) has recently been made aware of fake job postings for positions in its Calgary office. Individuals, unaffiliated with Genstar, have been publishing fake job postings in an apparent attempt to defraud would-be candidates. It appears as though fraudulent job posting are being posted through well-known job boards and through social media sites by unauthorized persons falsely using Genstar’s name and website details and falsely describing Genstar as a technology company. These job posting and communications often appear legitimate. Prospective candidates could then be instructed by fraudsters to pay them fees for immigration and visa application/processing or for access to their personal or financial information.
These postings and any offers that may come from these posting are fraudulent and do not come from Genstar. Genstar will NEVER request payment or seek fees from candidates under any circumstance during the recruitment or onboarding processes or seek financial information or passwords etc. from its would-be candidates. All official correspondence will only ever come from an email address that ends in genstar.com. If a job offer from Genstar is unexpected and you have not gone through a formal interview process with Genstar, then it is more than likely a fraudulent offer.
Genstar highly recommends that you do not respond to unsolicited business deals and/or offers from people with whom you are unfamiliar. Genstar does not make unsolicited job offers to any prospective candidate(s). If you are unsure about what appears to be a Genstar job posting, Genstar email or offer letter from a person or entity claiming to be Genstar, please contact us using the link here Contact us
